FIIs reduce stake in Kotak Mahindra Bank in Q2FY15

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have reduced their stake in Kotak Mahindra Bank by 48 basis points to 34.61 percent in Q2FY15 from 35.09 percent in Q1FY15. However, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have increased their shareholding in the bank by 23 basis points to 2.01 percent at the end of September 2014 from 1.78 percent as on Jun 30, 2014.

Meanwhile, non institutions were holding 23.19 percent stake at the end of September 2014, up 55 basis points from 22.64 percent as on June 30, 2014, while corporate bodies were holding 3.67 percent stake at the end of September 2014, up 27 basis points from 3.40 percent as on June 30, 2014. Further, the promoters’ holding in the bank have decreased by 26 basis points to 40.07 percent at the end of September 2014 from 40.33 percent as on June 30, 2014.

Kotak Mahindra Bank is engaged in commercial banking, stock broking, mutual funds, life insurance and investment banking. The bank has an international presence through its subsidiaries with offices in London, New York, Dubai, Mauritius, San Francisco and Singapore that specialize in providing services to overseas investors seeking to invest into India.
