FIIs cut stake in Bajaj Auto in Q2FY15

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have reduced their stake in Bajaj Auto by 91 basis points to 17.69 percent in Q2FY15 from 18.60 percent as on June 30, 2014. However, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have increased shareholding in the company by 88 basis points to 7.96 percent at the end of September 2014 from 7.08 percent as on June 30, 2014.

Meanwhile, non institutions were holding 24.31 percent stake in the company at the end of September 2014 quarter, up 3 basis points from 24.28 percent as on June 30, 2014. While, corporate bodies were holding 8.51 percent stake in the company at the end of September 2014 quarter, up 19 basis points from 8.32 percent as on June 30, 2014. Further, promoters’ shareholding was unchanged at 50.02 percent at the end of September 2014.

Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
