Axis Bank trades higher on the BSE

Axis Bank is currently trading at Rs. 422.70, up by 5.00 points or 1.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 417.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 419.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 424.75 and Rs. 418.30 respectively. So far 177970 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 424.75 on 21-Oct-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 202.33 on 13-Nov-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 424.75 and Rs. 387.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 99551.87 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 28.88% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 58.42% and 9.00% respectively.

Axis Bank, India’s third largest private sector bank, has organized a ‘coin and note exchange Mela’ at Mokokchung Branch in Nagaland.  The camp was organized for the benefit of the business houses and publics of Mokokchung.

The bank’s net profit for first quarter ended June 30, 2014 rose by 18.29% at Rs 1666.76 crore as compared to Rs 1408.93 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. Its total income increased by 10.17% to Rs 9980.47 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 9059.12 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
