Sesa Sterlite trades in pink of its health on BSE

Sesa Sterlite is currently trading at Rs. 247.70, up by 10.05 points or 4.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 237.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 240.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 253.10 and Rs. 240.70 respectively. So far 504206 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Re. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 318.40 on 06-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 169.55 on 14-Mar-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 254.20 and Rs. 219.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 73465.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.17 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.01 % and 10.22 % respectively.

Transport of iron ore from Sesa Sterlite plant, which had resumed after a gap of two years last week, has been stopped by police amid concerns over alaw and order situation following an objection raised by a group of truckers. A total of 120 trucks fitted with Global Positioning System (GPS) were contracted to carry the ore from Sesa Sterlite's mining lease at Codli to its pig iron plant at Amona. There is a dispute between two groups of truck operators over charges pertonne being offered by the company and the transport was stopped a day after one group of truck operators held a meeting.
