FIIs hike stake in Exide Industries in Q2FY15

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have raised their stake in Exide Industries by 210 basis points to 17.03 percent in Q2FY15 from 14.93 percent as on June 30, 2014. However, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) shareholding has decreased by 185 basis points to 17.76 percent at the end of September 2014 quarter from 19.61 percent as on June 30, 2014.

Meanwhile, non institutions held 19.22 percent stake in Q2FY15, down 25 basis points from 19.47 percent as on June 30, 2014. While, corporate bodies were holding 9.13 percent stake at the end of September 2014 quarter, up 18 basis points from 8.95 percent as on June 30, 2014. Further, promoters’ shareholding was unchanged at 45.99 percent at the end of September 2014.

EIL is India’s largest producer of automotive and industrial batteries, with seven manufacturing plants strategically located across the country.
