NHPC has signed an agreement with Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) for setting up a joint venture company for implementation of first solar power project in Uttar Pradesh. The estimated project cost is Rs. 400 crore and it will be completed by mid 2016.
NHPC is an Indian Hydro Power Generation company that was incorprated with an objective to plan, promote and organize an integrated and efficient development of hydroelectric power in all aspects.
