Andhra Bank gains on reporting over two fold jump in Q2 net profit

Andhra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 81.25, up by 4.65 points or 6.07 % from its previous closing of Rs. 76.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 77.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 82.25 and Rs. 75.25 respectively. So far 1430270 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 110.00 on 05-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 53.50 on 14-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 78.60 and Rs. 75.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4784.72 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.14 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.03 % and 17.83 % respectively.

Andhra Bank has reported over two fold jump in its net profit at Rs 144.49 for second quarter ended September 30, 2014 as compared to Rs 70.65 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 15.88% at Rs 4423.62 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 3817.57 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) increased to 5.99% in the July-September quarter as against 5.15% in the same quarter previous year, while net NPAs stood to 3.86%.
