LML has resumed partial production in the Paint Shop at its factory (situated at C-10, Panki Industrial Estate, Kanpur), with the effect from October 27, 2014. Earlier on October 21, 2014, the company had earlier stopped its production in the plant in which fire broke out, adversely impacted the production.
LML was promoted in 1972 as Lohia Machines by the Singhania family to manufacture machinery for the synthetic fibres industry. Later, it diversified into production of 100 cc scooters, in technical collaboration with Piaggio Vespa of Italy.
