Hero MotoCorp has reported 8.05% fall in its two-wheelers sale in October 2014 to 5,75,056 units as compared to sales of 6,25,420 units in October 2013. Meanwhile, the company has clocked sales of over 10 lakh two-wheelers during the 37-day festive period, which started on September 25 (first day of Navratras) and lasted until October 31, 2014.
Hero MotoCorp is the World’s single largest two-wheeler motorcycle company. Honda Motor Company of Japan and the Hero Group entered a joint venture to setup Hero Honda Motors in 1984. Hero Honda Motors changed its name to Hero MotoCorp following the exit of its erstwhile Japanese promoter, Honda, from the company.
