GAIL (India) gains on inking MoU with State Oil Company of Republic of Azerbaijan

GAIL (India) is currently trading at Rs. 499.25, up by 0.25 points or 0.05 % from its previous closing of Rs. 499.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 502.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 506.90 and Rs. 490.15 respectively. So far 141493 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 551.35 on 31-Oct-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 310.00 on 18-Nov-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 551.35 and Rs. 485.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 63087.72 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.11 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.01 % and 2.32 % respectively.

GAIL (India) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with State Oil Company of Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). Under the MoU, GAIL and SOCAR intend to jointly pursue LNG opportunities through capacity booking, LNG procurement and promotion of LNG projects globally.

Both companies shall also cooperate in optimization of LNG marketing, sourcing and shipping requirements. In addition, GAIL and SOCAR will pursue business opportunities in upstream assets across the world and joint investment in petrochemical projects.
