Balrampur Chini declines on reporting net loss of Rs 63.90 crore in Q2

Balrampur Chini Mills is currently trading at Rs 55.95, down by 0.95 points or 1.67% from its previous closing of Rs 56.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 57.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs 58.05 and Rs 55.15 respectively. So far 122145 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 88.00 on 24-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 36.25 on 31-Jan-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 57.75 and Rs. 53.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1377.65 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.83% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.97% and 27.20% respectively.

Balrampur Chini Mills has reported a net loss of Rs 63.90 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2014 as compared to a net loss of Rs 122.10 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 19.98% at Rs 686.56 crore for Q2FY15 as compared Rs 572.23 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Balrampur Chini is one of the largest integrated sugar manufacturers in India. Its business portfolio consists of manufacturing and marketing of sugar, ethyl alcohol, ethanol, generation and selling of power and also manufacturing and marketing of organic manure.
