Corporation Bank rises on reporting over ten-fold jump in Q3 net profit

Corporation Bank is currently trading at Rs 339.45, up by 2.30 points or 0.68% from its previous closing of Rs 337.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 337.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 349.00 and Rs. 335.00 respectively. So far 162738 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 417.50 on 09-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 220.10 on 24-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 341.85 and Rs. 326.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5634.43 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.33% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.81% and 6.86% respectively.

Corporation Bank has registered over a ten-fold jump in its net profit after taxes at Rs 160.5 crore for third quarter ended September 30, 2014 as compared to Rs 15.47 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 9.54% at Rs 5229.05 crore for the quarter as compared Rs 4773.64 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2013.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) of the bank increased to 4.45% in the July-September quarter as against 3.17% in the same quarter previous year, while net NPAs stood to 2.92%.
