TVS Motor to set up a new engine manufacturing plant in Himachal Pradesh: Report

TVS Motor Company is reportedly planning to set up a new engine manufacturing plant in Himachal Pradesh on an investment of Rs 150 crore. In this regard, the company has applied to the Himachal Pradesh government for 50 acres of land in the state. The new facility will be the company’s second manufacturing plant in the state.

The company already has a manufacturing facility for two-wheelers in the state. TVS current turnover from its existing plant in Himachal Pradesh is Rs 900 crore and it manufactures TVS Star City, TVS Sport, TVS Jupiter.

TVS Motor Company is the flagship of the $7 billion Indian conglomerate, TVS Group which recently celebrated one hundred years in the automotive business in India.
