Ansal Properties and Infrastructure has sold 5.19 million sq ft of real estate space in the October-December quarter of 2011 for a total value of Rs 605.2 crore. The area sold in this quarter is 19% more than what the company sold in the same quarter of 2010. A majority of sales in this quarter have been made in projects that the company is developing in Gurgaon, Mohali and Lucknow.
The average realisation for the company was down from Rs 1,433 per sq ft in July 2011 to Rs 1,166 per sq ft in the October-December 2011 quarter. In December 2011, the company collected Rs 175 crore from its customers, taking the total collections in the three quarters of the financial year to Rs 1,320.9 crore.
