CESC reports 12% rise in Q2 net profit

CESC has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2014.

The company has registered 12.28% jump in its net profit at Rs 192.00 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 171.00 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operations of the company has increased marginally 1.15% at Rs 1678.00 crore for Q2FY15 as compared Rs 1659.00 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

CESC is engaged in power generation and distribution in state of West Bengal. CESC is a fully integrated power utility with its operation spanning the entire value chain: right from mining coal, generating power, distribution of power.
