Upper Ganges Sugar & Industries has decided to commence crushing operations for the season 2014-15 at its sugar mills at Seohara in Uttar Pradesh shortly. This development comes after Uttar Pradesh State government announced sugarcane prices and the grant of certain exemption, reliefs and assistance linked to Average sugar price and its by-products to be realized by Sugar Mills.

Upper Ganges Sugar Industries (UGSIL) incorporated in 1932 is engaged in the business of manufacturing sugar, industrial alcohol/ethanol and fertiliser. Being part of K.K. Birla Group of Companies, the company is managed under the chairmanship of Smt. Nandini Nopany.
