Bajaj Auto reports marginal drop in November sales

Bajaj Auto, the second-largest motorcycle manufacturer has registered a marginal drop in total sales to 309,259 units in November 2014 against 310,591 units in November 2013. The sales of the motorcycles decreased by 6% and stood at 261,948 units in the month under review against 278,703 units in November 2013. However, the company has reported 48% rise in Commercial Vehicles sales which stood at 47,311 units as compared to 31,888 units in month of October 2013.

Meanwhile, the company’s total exports out of the above stood at 165,733 units, an increase of 24% as compared to 133,731 units sold in the corresponding month last year.

Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
