Jain Irrigation inks MOU with Horticulture Innovation Australia

Jain Irrigation Systems (JISL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Horticulture Innovation Australia (HIAL) that will allow researchers from JISL and Australian agencies to undertake joint R&D in horticulture for the first time through HIAL.

JISL has made significant strides in developing Ultra High Density Planting Systems and techniques for tissue culture of mango and genetic transformation of mango and have successfully extended the Ultra High Density Mango, on commercial scale, to Indian farmers. JISL and HIAL have committed to explore other areas of research in a number of horticultural crops.

Jain Irrigation Systems is a manufacturer of a wide variety of PVC pipes, PE pipes, water and gas transportation pipes, ducts for optical fibre cables and drip irrigation pipes. It is also engaged in tissue culture of bananas and pomegranates and is the world’s largest processor of mangoes and is the world’s second largest processor of onions and vegetables.
