Tata Power has commissioned remaining 8 MW of the 32 MW wind farm at Girijashankarwadi in Maharashtra. Following this commissioning, the company’s total wind generation capacity stands at 470.6 MW while, the total generation capacity stands at 8623 MW.
The wind farm is expected to generate around 62 million units (MUs) per year which will be procured by Tata Power-Distribution towards fulfillment of its Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPO). The company has wind farms located across five states - Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
