Vijaya Bank trades in fine fettle on BSE

Vijaya Bank is currently trading at Rs. 47.15, up by 0.25 points or 0.53 % from its previous closing of Rs. 46.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 47.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 47.60 and Rs. 47.15 respectively. So far 15793 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 58.80 on 26-May-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 33.90 on 04-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 49.40 and Rs. 44.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4067.93 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.06 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.96 % and 15.98 % respectively.

Vijaya Bank, the Karnataka-based bank has organized the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana programme at Pollachi in Tamil Nadu. The programme was attended by over 200 beneficiaries and large number of people from nearby villages. The bank explained various important features of the scheme to beneficiaries. The bank has also distributed Rupay Cards and Pass Books to the beneficiaries.

Vijaya Bank, the Karnataka-based bank offers various products and services specific to various segments such as it has saving accounts for children, scheme for women clientele, credit facilities to minority communities like Zoroastrians, Buddhists are among others.
