Textile machinery maker Lakshmi Machine Work has reported results for its third quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The company’s net profit declined by 13.48%, to 39.65 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2011 compared with Rs 45.83 crore in the year-ago period. The total income rose by 9.65% to Rs 538.26 crore in the quarter under review against Rs 490.88 crore during the corresponding quarter of the earlier fiscal.

Lakshmi Machine Works is engaged in the manufacture of textile machinery, machine tools and foundry products. LMW commands a 60% market share in the domestic textile spinning machinery industry.
