Vijaya Bank has reported results for its third quarter ended December 31, 2011.
The banks net profit declined by 18.14%, to Rs 124.27 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2011 compared with Rs 151.80 crore in the year-ago period. However, the total income rose by 37.21% to Rs 2173.92 crore in the quarter under review against Rs 1584.40 crore during the corresponding quarter of the earlier fiscal.
The bank’s gross NPA for the December quarter of the current fiscal stood at 2.98%, while the same was at 2.46% for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Meanwhile, bank’s Net NPA stood at 1.81% as compared to 1.38% in the same quarter of the previous year.
