VST Tillers Tractors declines on plan to restrict production at Bangalore, Hosur plant

VST Tillers Tractors is currently trading at Rs. 1360.05, down by 37.75 points or 2.70% from its previous closing of Rs. 1397.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1375.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1386.75 and Rs. 1315.00 respectively. So far 52272 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1998.00 on 04-Jul-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 638.00 on 31-Dec-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1443.95 and Rs. 1380.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1182.45 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.85 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.95 % and 32.20 % respectively.

VST Tillers Tractors management has decided to restrict the production to days a week both at Bangalore and Hosur plant. This step has been taken since due to various reasons the sale of power tillers and Tractors has not kept pace with the plant production since October, 2014 which has resulted in carrying higher finished goods inventory. Besides, the management expects that the situation is not likely to improve in near future.

VST Tillers Tractors was incorporated in technical collaboration and joint venture with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan for the manufacture of Power Tillers and Diesel Engines.
