Nifty January 2015 futures close at a premium of 73.05 points over spot closing

Nifty January 2015 futures closed at 8273.75 on Friday at a premium of 73.05 points over spot closing of 8,200.70, while Nifty February 2015 futures ended at 8326.05 at a premium of 125.35 points over spot closing. Nifty January futures saw contraction of 0.14 million (mn) units, taking the total outstanding open interest (OI) to 20.71 mn units. The near month derivatives contract will expire on January 29, 2015.

From the most active contracts, State Bank of India January 2015 futures traded at a premium of 3.05 points at 311.00 compared with spot closing of 307.95. The number of contracts traded were 18,229.

ICICI Bank January 2015 futures traded at a premium of 3.75 points at 354.55 compared with spot closing of 350.80. The number of contracts traded were 10,084.

HDFC Bank January 2015 futures traded at a premium of 10.05 points at 959.35 compared with spot closing of 949.30. The number of contracts traded were 11,715.

Reliance Industries January 2015 futures traded at a premium of 7.95 points at 897.65 compared with spot closing of 889.70. The number of contracts traded were 13,218.

Tata Steel January 2015 futures traded at a premium of 5.70 points at 401.70 compared with spot closing of 396.00. The number of contracts traded were 16,249.
