Water Technology Business Unit of Larsen & Toubro (L&T) secured an international order of Rs 850-crore from Public Works Authority, Qatar (ASHGHAL), for advanced waste water treatment and urban reuse. The project will be executed on a turnkey basis and is scheduled to be operational by 2012.
The project work includes design, supply, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of the Doha South Sewage Treatment Works, Phase II expansion. The technology is provided by US-based ITT Corporation and Construction by Galfar Al Misnad Engineering & Contracting W.L.L,
