City Union Bank gains on reporting 15% rise in Q3 net profit

City Union Bank is currently trading at Rs. 95.50, up by 0.10 points or 0.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 95.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 95.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 95.75 and Rs. 93.75 respectively. So far 32241 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 100.00 on 08-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 45.65 on 25-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 97.50 and Rs. 92.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5697.22 crore.

The institutions and non-institutions held 44.38% and 55.62% stake in the bank, respectively.

City Union Bank has registered a rise of 15.29% in its net profit at Rs 102.70 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 89.08 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank has increased 10.95% at Rs 782.29 crore for Q3FY15 as compared Rs 705.11 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) increased to 2.12% in the October- December quarter as against 1.70% in the same quarter previous year, while net NPAs stood at 1.31%.
