Hindustan Construction trades jubilantly on reporting five-fold jump in Q3 net profit

Hindustan Construction Company is currently trading at Rs. 33.75, up by 4.55 points or 15.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 29.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 31.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 34.30 and Rs. 31.20 respectively. So far 3324456 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 49.00 on 01-Jul-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 12.35 on 17-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 34.30 and Rs. 28.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2157.06 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.51% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.09% and 40.40% respectively.

Hindustan Construction Company’s net profit jumped over five fold at Rs 27.14 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 5.39 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased 27.80% at Rs 1126.27 crore for Q3FY15 as compared Rs 881.30 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

HCC is a leader in engineering and construction space. The company has established a vast presence and gained recognition in the sectors of Hydro Power, Water Solutions, Transportation and Nuclear Power.
