Kansai Nerolac rises on reporting 27% jump in Q3 net profit

Kansai Nerolac Paints is currently trading at Rs. 870.00, up by 4.25 points or 0.49% from its previous closing of Rs. 865.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 878.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 878.85 and Rs. 870.00 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 973.95 on 31-Mar-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 720.00 on 28-Feb-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 885.00 and Rs. 857.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4688.60 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.27% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.98% and 19.75% respectively.

Kansai Nerolac Paints’ net profit has surged by 26.66% to Rs 52.6 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011, over the same period previous fiscal. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 41.5 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.

The company’s net sales has increased to Rs 665.5 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011, compared to Rs 560.1 crore for the same period previous fiscal, up by 18.75%. For the nine months ended December 31, 2011, the company posted a net profit of Rs 171 crore, compared to Rs 147.1 crore in the same period previous financial year.

Kansai Nerolac Paints is engaged in the industrial, automotive and powder coating business. The company’s brands include Impressions, Beauty, Excel and Surakhsa.
