Tata Power Company turns black in Q3

Tata Power Company has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2014.

The company has registered a fall of 6.57% in its net profit at Rs 234.63 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 251.13 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has increased 20.17% at Rs 2401.80 crore for Q3FY15 as compared Rs 1998.59 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis the company’s net profit after tax, minority interest and share of profit of associates stood at Rs 197.74 crore for the Q3 FY15 as compared to a net loss of Rs 74.91 crore in Q3 FY14. Moreover, the total income increased 8.31% to Rs 9321.34 crore in the quarter under review as compared to Rs 8605.93 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.
