Indian Overseas Bank drops on reporting net loss of Rs 516.03 crore in Q3

Indian Overseas Bank is currently trading at Rs. 50.90, down by 4.95 points or 8.86 % from its previous closing of Rs. 55.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 56.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 56.60 and Rs. 50.10 respectively. So far 2003773 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A ' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 89.90 on 06-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 43.00 on 04-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 59.95 and Rs. 55.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6850.01 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.80 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.29 % and 8.91 % respectively.

Indian Overseas Bank has reported a net loss of Rs 516.03 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2014 as compared to a net profit of Rs 75.07 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 7.39% at Rs 6647.45 crore for Q3FY15 as compared Rs 6190.26 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) of the bank increased sharply to 8.12% in the October-December quarter as against 5.27% in the same quarter previous year, while net NPAs stood at 5.52%.
