Hindustan Copper reports 85% fall in Q3 net profit

Hindustan Copper has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2014.

The company has reported a fall of 84.64% in its net profit at Rs 10.59 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 68.96 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Moreover, total income of the company has dropped 42.15% at Rs 257.17 crore for Q3FY15 as compared Rs 444.52 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Hindustan Copper’s principal activities include mining of copper ore, concentration of copper ore into copper concentrate through a beneficiation process and also smelting, refining and extruding of the copper concentrate into refined copper in downstream saleable products
