Berger Paints advances on reporting 12% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Berger Paints is currently trading at Rs. 97.75, up by 0.25 points or 0.25% from its previous closing of Rs. 97.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 98.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 98.90 and Rs. 97.00 respectively. So far 62925 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 117.75 on 11-Nov-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 74.00 on 11-Feb-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 99.20 and Rs. 93.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3392.09 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.57% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.27% and 12.16% respectively.

Berger Paints’ consolidated net profit has increased by 11.74% to Rs 49 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2011, vis-a-vis the same period last fiscal. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 43.85 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2010.

Consolidated net sales of the company stood at Rs 781.37 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011, as against Rs 619.16 crore for corresponding period of the previous fiscal, up by 26.20%.

The standalone net profit of the firm rose by 22% to Rs 45 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 37 crore in the same period a year ago.
