CESC reports 4% rise in Q3 net profit

CESC has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2014.

The company has registered a rise of 3.74% in its net profit after taxes at Rs 11.1 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 10.7 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the company increased 3% at Rs 1270 crore for Q3FY15 as compared Rs 1233 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

CESC is engaged in power generation and distribution in state of West Bengal. CESC is a fully integrated power utility with its operation spanning the entire value chain: right from mining coal, generating power, distribution of power.
