Gillanders Arbuthnot & Company has resumed work at GIS cotton mill unit located at Champdani in West Bengal. The suspension of work has been lifted and normalcy has been restored from January 27, 2012.

Earlier, the company had suspended work of the GIS cotton mill unit with effect from December 07, 2011. The company had suspended work due to illegal and unjustified disruption of work by workmen, along with various acts of subversive of discipline.
