Tata Motors rises on entering into an agreement with Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs 578.80, up by 13.15 points or 2.32% from its previous closing of Rs 565.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 565.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 580.45 and Rs. 565.50 respectively. So far 232432 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 612.05 on 03-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 374.70 on 13-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 570.50 and Rs. 541.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 157484.16 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.33% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.10% and 7.31% respectively.

Tata Motors, the country's largest automaker by revenues, has entered into an agreement with Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank (KVGB), a regional rural bank.  Under the agreement, the bank will provide loans of up to 80 per cent of the value of Tata Motors’ vehicle to eligible borrowers for a maximum tenure of five years. At present, the bank has more than 6,020 accounts of commercial road transport operators with an outstanding balance of Rs 103 crore.

Tata Motors is India's largest automobile company, is the leader in commercial vehicles in each segment, and among the top in passenger vehicles with winning products in the compact, midsize car and utility vehicle segments. It is also the world's fourth largest truck and bus manufacturer.
