IOB joins hand with Apollo Munich to offer health, accident insurance to its customers

Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has joined hands with Apollo Munich Health Insurance to provide specialized health and personal accident products to its customers. Through this arrangement, IOB will sell Apollo Munich’s products in over 3,350 branches across the country. Apollo Munich will offer customized products with a sum insured ranging from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 10 lakhs. The health policy will be handed over to the customer on the spot in the respective branches of IOB.

The bank reported a net loss of Rs 516.03 crore for the quarter under review as compared to a net profit of Rs 75.07 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank increased by 7.39% at Rs 6647.45 crore for Q3FY15 as compared Rs 6190.26 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
