Ashoka Buildcon’s subsidiary - Ashoka lnfraways (AIWL), has resumed toll collection at one of his project with effect from February 19, 2015. This step has been taken after AIWL moved to High Court of Madhya Pradesh, Indore before Division Bench. The Division Bench permitted to collect the toll till August 22, 2015 as an interim measure subject to the condition that collected toll will be deposited in Escrow Account with nationalized bank.
The company had earlier informed the expiration of original concession period for the project viz. construction, replacement, periodical renewal and maintenance of Dewas Bypass Road Project starting from Km. 159/4 of Bhopai Ujjain Road (SH-18) and joining Km. 577/6 of Agra-Bombay Road, (NH-3) intersecting NH-3 in Km. 567/8 and SH-18 in Km. 151/8 (total length 19.8 Km) on Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis with toll rights.
