Corporation Bank trades in the green on the BSE

Corporation Bank is currently trading at Rs. 421.00, up by 4.95 points or 1.19% from its previous closing of Rs. 416.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 411.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 422.00 and Rs. 410.00 respectively. So far 9657 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 658.00 on 30-Mar-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 335.50 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 424.20 and Rs. 401.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6197.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.52% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.04% and 6.44% respectively.

Corporation Bank has reported a rise of 5.18% in its net profit of Rs 402.22 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 382.42 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 39.08% from Rs 2,735.74 crore for Q3FY11 to Rs 3,804.50 crore in the quarter under review.

The banks’ gross NPA stood at 1.35% for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to 1.26% in the quarter ended December 31, 2010. Its net NPA also rose at 0.96% in Q3FY12 as compared to 0.59% in Q3FY11. Further, the bank’s Return on Assets (ROA) has declined to 1.12% for the quarter from 1.22% in the similar quarter of the last year.
