In a bid to provide better service to its customers, leading electricity supplier Torrent Power (TPL) has launched customer portal --connect.torrentpower.com. The company has designed the portal to minimise customer effort in performing transactions, processing applications and registration complaints.
The new portal provides services like new connection applications, change of name, online payments, registration of complaints regarding no power, consumption calculation and analysis, e-bill, power alerts and information about customer centre, bill collection centre and mobile van locator. It also gives tips on reducing electricity consumption.
The company has over 2.2 million customers in Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar and Surat in Gujarat and has made substantial investments to upgrade and automate its distribution system to increase reliability of the city’s power network.
