Ashoka Buildcon inches up on plan to raise Rs 500 crore through QIP

Ashoka Buildcon is currently trading at Rs. 162.40, up by 0.10 points or 0.06% from its previous closing of Rs. 162.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 162.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 166.10 and Rs. 161.20 respectively. So far 16268 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 194.00 on 02-Mar-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 66.00 on 19-Mar-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 177.20 and Rs. 160.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2601.48 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.54% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.04% and 16.42% respectively.

Ashoka Buildcon is all set to raise Rs 500 crore via qualified institutional placement (QIP), as it gears up for aggressive expansion. The company will use the raised fund for bidding new projects and developing few existing projects. This will help the company to reduce risk premium.

With total revenue of Rs 1,795 crore for FY14, Ashoka Buildcon is one of the largest players in highway development in India with 28 PPP projects.

Ashoka Buildcon builds and operates roads and bridges in India on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis. It currently operates one of the highest numbers of toll-based BOT projects in India.
