Bosch’s Jaipur plant's workmen to go on one day strike

20 Mar 2015 Evaluate

Labour Union of Bosch’s Jaipur plant has called for a ‘one day strike’ on March 20, 2015 in connection with the ongoing wage settlement. The wage negotiations have been going on since last 20 months. Labour Commissioner and Joint Labour Commissioner had convened multiple conciliatory meetings between the Company management and members of Labour Union.

The Management is in discussion with the Union to close the wage negotiations with the intervention of the Joint Labour Commissioner, Jaipur in a fair but firm manner. The Company does not foresee any significant financial impact due to the one day strike.

Bosch is a major player in the diesel segment and 60% of its sales come from diesel segment. It is also among the larger suppliers of common rail direct injection (CRDI) systems in India. The company buys half of the components required for the CRDI systems (by value) locally.
