Hero MotoCorp is planning to set up Rs 1600-crore Greenfield manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh (AP). In this regard, the company has been allotted a 592-acre site to facilitate development of its new project.
The Andhra Pradesh Government and AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) have overcome the land hurdle for allocation to Hero MotoCorp in Satyavedu mandal of Chittoor district.
Hero MotoCorp is the World’s single largest two-wheeler motorcycle company. Honda Motor Company of Japan and the Hero Group entered a joint venture to setup Hero Honda Motors in 1984. Hero Honda Motors changed its name to Hero MotoCorp following the exit of its erstwhile Japanese promoter, Honda, from the company.
