Gujarat Industries Power Company’s (GIPCL) generator rotor of unit - 1 (125MW) of Surat lignite power plant (SLPP) at village Nani Naroli, taluka Mangrol, district Surat, stopped work because of electrical earth fault on January 01, 2012. The rotor has been shipped to their works at Hyderabad where they have identified the exact damage and corrective repairing work has started. The company expects re-commissioning of the said Unit -1 by end of March, 2012.
