Sunshield Chemicals has restarted operations at its plant effective from March 28, 2015. Earlier, the company shut down its operations mainly with respect to Ethylene Oxide (EO) based products for the period of about 75 days. EO based products contributes more than 75% of Company's current production. The balance 25% being anti-oxidants and other non-EO based products will continue to be produced and sold.
Sunshield Chemicals has developed many niche speciality products with unique applications for MNCs and large Indian corporates. The manufacturing site, located in Rasal (Maharashtra) is located 100 km south-east of Mumbai of Mumbai and employs about 94 people.
