Credit rating agency -- ICRA -- has assigned ‘BEE Grade 1’ rating to Tata Power Delhi Distribution. This makes it the first power utility in India to achieve this rating. The rating means the company has ‘very high ability’ to carry out energy efficiency audits and to implement energy saving projects for its consumers willing to avail such facility to save energy and reduce their bills.
The rating will help the company to get the BEE empanelment and also authorise it to take the big end-to-end energy solution project to reduce carbon footprint.
Tata Power Delhi Distribution, previously North Delhi Power, is a joint venture between the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and Tata Power Company.
