Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) construction arm - L&T Construction, has won orders worth Rs 2,101 crore across various business segments in March 2015. Under Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business, it has secured orders worth Rs 1,664 crore including add-ons. A major order has been secured from the Public Works Department, Delhi for the construction of Phase-III of Barapullah Elevated Corridor in Delhi. The project connects Sarai Kale Khan and Mayur Vihar through the elevated corridor across river Yamuna. The scope includes construction of 550m - 6 lane extra dosed bridge and 4.3km- 4 lane elevated road, a flyover at Mayur Vihar Side, connecting loops, cycle tracks, road works, architectural lighting and other allied works. The project is scheduled to be completed in 30 months.
Under Water & Renewable Energy Business, it has secured an order worth Rs 267 crore. An order was received from Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam for the construction of 242 km waste water network and 3 Nos. waste water pumping stations in Allahabad. The project is funded by World Bank under NGRBA scheme (National Ganga River Basin Authority).
Further, additional orders worth Rs 170 crore have also been received from various ongoing jobs of Buildings & Factories Business.
