Tyre major MRF is planning to expand its manufacturing facility located at Sadasivpet in Medak district of Telangana with an additional investment of Rs 980 crore. The company's manufacturing base in Medak district has been in operation since 1990 and about Rs 4,300 crore has so far been invested in the unit.
MRF is India’s No.1 tyre manufacturing company with a turnover of Rs 14,000 crore. Currently, the company exports tyres to over 80 countries including America, Europe, Middle East, Japan, and the Pacific region. The overseas market contributes to 10-12% of the company's turnover at present.
