Bajaj Auto firms up on launching new range of sporty bikes under the Pulsar brand

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 1990.75, up by 0.20 points or 0.01 % from its previous closing of Rs. 1990.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1998.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1998.85 and Rs. 1986.00 respectively. So far 371 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2690.00 on 24-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1844.00 on 20-May-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2019.20 and Rs. 1947.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 57599.95 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 49.24 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.64 % and 25.10 % respectively.

In a bid to increase its market share of sports segment from 43 per cent to 50 per cent, Bajaj Auto has launched its new range of sporty bikes under the Pulsar brand, including higher capacity bikes going up to 500 cc.

These bikes demonstrate the R&D prowess of the company in terms of styling, performance, technology and features. Moreover, the company will continue to roll out more models in due course depending upon the feedback it get from its customers and what the market demands.

Bajaj Auto is a $2.3 billion company founded in 1926. It is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
