Nirlon surges as GIC plans to acquire 63.9% stake for Rs 1,280 crore

Nirlon is currently trading at Rs. 171.80, up by 11.20 points or 6.97% from its previous closing of Rs. 160.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 171.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 180.00 and Rs. 166.30 respectively. So far 71214 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B ' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 213.90 on 13-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 80.75 on 08-May-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 180.00 and Rs. 156.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1527.50 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 12.66% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.20% and 62.14% respectively.

Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC is acquiring 63.9% stake in the Mumbai-based realty firm Nirlon for Rs 1,280 crore. In December, GIC had announced that its affiliate Reco Berry signed a definitive agreement to acquire stake in Nirlon. The acquisition of 28.4 per cent stake under the open offer has been completed and the Reco Berry is in the process of acquiring the 35.5 per cent stake under the agreements.

Nirlon, which is listed on the BSE, owns Nirlon Knowledge Park, a high quality office park located in Mumbai. The park comprises seven blocks and is spread across 2.2 million sq ft.
