GMR Infrastructure’s parent firm GMR Holdings has pledged 14.41% stake in the company with IL&FS Trust Company (ITCL). GMR Holdings has pledged 76,29,71,000 equity shares of GMR Infrastructure held by it with ITCL in capacity as a Debenture Trustee to secure the issue of Non Convertible Debentures (NCD) issued by GMR Holdings.
With this, ITCL’s stake in GMR Infrastructure rose to 33.25% or 1,58,42,18,000 shares. GMR Holdings, a promoter of GMR Infrastructure, held 51.97% stake in the firm, as of April 18.
GMR Infrastructure is a Bangalore headquartered global infrastructure major with interests in Airports, Energy, Highways and Urban Infrastructure sectors. It has successfully employed the public-private partnership model to build a portfolio of high quality assets.
